What to Tell the Dispatcher

  2. 2What happened: Brief description of emergency
  3. 3Number of victims: How many people need help
  4. 4Condition: Conscious? Breathing? Bleeding?
  5. 5Your name and number: In case they need to call back

Remember

  • • Stay on the line until the dispatcher tells you to hang up
  • • Follow any instructions the dispatcher gives you
  • • Don't hang up first - they may have more questions
  • • If using a mobile phone, clearly state your location

App Permissions

To help you in an emergency, this app needs a couple of permissions. Here's exactly what's used and why:

Location

Used only when you activate the emergency location feature. Coordinates stay on your device and are never stored. Tap "Open Map" to send them to Google Maps so you can identify nearby streets or landmarks for the dispatcher.

Phone / Call

Emergency call buttons open your phone's dialler directly so you can reach services with one tap. No calls are made automatically.
